All appointments are performed by myself, Laura Maree. I am a qualified hairdresser with 23 years of experience, along with additional training in scalp care, natural facials, facial lymphatic drainage, and Gua Sha. I also specialise in NanoPlasty permanent hair smoothing and Hair Botox which is a frizz elimination treatment.

I have a deep interest in the nervous system and somatic healing therapies, I spend much of my time learning and researching so I can offer the most nurturing and supportive experience possible for every client who visits.

I place great importance on caring for my own energy, health, and wellbeing, allowing me to show up calm, present, and fully supportive for every client who enters my sensory salon.

I offer a range of ritual appointments with different durations, starting from 90 mins through to 3 hours. 
When I reach out and offer you an appointment date, I will provide the available ritual options so you can choose the experience that suits you best.

This ritual is a deeply personalised experience that blends advanced scalp care with nervous-system-focused relaxation.

Your session begins with a gentle scalp analysis using a professional camera with 200× magnification. This allows me to understand the natural condition of your scalp and thoughtfully select the most supportive products for your experience.

Fragrance 

You will also be invited to select fragrances for me to work with during your session from a beautiful range of Perfect Potion essential oils.

​

Natural Facial

From here, you are guided into a slow, natural facial using a carefully curated range of natural and organic products from Perfect Potion, alongside small-batch formulations that I personally handmake and infuse with herbs and botanicals from my garden. 

Lymphatic-style movements, Gua Sha, and flowing massage techniques encourage gentle release through the face, jaw, and neck.

Please note that my natural facial is not designed as a corrective skin treatment. Instead, it focuses on creating a gentle sensory experience, supporting lymphatic flow, and helping to calm and regulate the nervous system.

Japanese Head Spa 

The ritual then transitions into the Japanese Head Spa. You will be gently blindfolded to encourage a deeply sensory experience designed to quiet the mind and awaken the scalp.

A combination of tools are intuitively selected during each session to create varying scalp sensations, supporting circulation and deep relaxation. Every treatment is slightly different depending on your scalp and hair needs.

This stage includes an organic scalp scrub and exfoliation, scalp cleanse, followed by a grounding scalp massage before the hair is rinsed beneath the warm halo waterfall. Clients may also choose to experience the halo waterfall flowing across the neck area.

Touch

All touch throughout the experience is slow, intentional, and nurturing.

Blow-dry 

You will then be invited back to the hairdressing chair, where the ritual concludes with a beautifully finished blow-dry and a choice of organic teas or coffee.

 

Communication During Your Appointment

During the facial and head spa, clients are encouraged to remain in quiet stillness, allowing the body and nervous system to fully relax and receive.

At the beginning of each appointment, I gently guide clients through a few simple breathing techniques, helping them use their breath as an anchor to settle the nervous system.

Many clients choose to enjoy a completely silent appointment following the initial consultation. To support this, a small sign is available at my hairdressing table where you can indicate your preference — either a Silent Appointment or Happy to Chat.​

​

Visiting my salon is designed to be a very calming relaxing experience.

I will never pressure clients to purchase products or rebook appointments. If you would ever like advice about a scalp or hair concern, or product recommendations, or to book a future appointment, I am always happy to help - I simply leave that choice with you. 

​

Clients who are curious about their nervous system may also opt to wear a heart rate monitor during the session. This also helps me understand the type of touch and sensory experience your body responds best to. 

​

All of my treatments are non-clinical, sensory rituals designed to support deep relaxation, grounding, and whole-body renewal.

Important Notes 

The Japanese head spa portion of this ritual may not be suitable for clients with very long hair or hair extensions prone to tangling or matting. Please contact me on 0423 852 259 with a photo of your hair worn down prior to booking.

​

Clients who are pregnant require medical consent in writing before proceeding with a booking, due to the need to lie flat for an extended period of time.

​

Clients who have had botox or filler within the past 4 weeks, or who are taking medication for their hair, skin, or scalp, are asked to contact me prior to booking.
