After 23 years as a hairdresser, one thing I’ve noticed time and time again is that many clients leave the salon loving their hair… but struggle to confidently recreate the look at home. Even when you watch closely in the chair, it can feel very different trying to do it yourself at home — different tools, different products, different lighting, and suddenly it all feels harder than it looked. That’s why I’ve always offered one on one Hairstyling Lessons to my clients, and I find it a very beneficial service that my clients have always appreciated as they leave feeling confident to style their own hair at home. These sessions are designed to gently support and empower you to style your own hair with confidence, using the tools and products you actually use at home. I ask you to bring along all of the products you normally use, as well as your own hairdryer, straightener or styling tools, so we can work with exactly what you’ll be working with day to day. During the session, I’ll: • Wash and condition your hair, explaining the process • Show you step by step how to create your desired look • Teach you simple techniques and little tricks • Help you understand why certain methods work for your hair type This session is not about selling products, none of my work ever is. There is absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. However, if you would like recommendations, I’m always happy to recommend products or styling tools for you — as having the right product or tool can make a real difference. I have access to most professional haircare brands and can organise products, hairdryers or styling tools for you if needed. The Hairstyling Lesson is booked as a 1.5-hour one-on-one session, allowing plenty of time for learning, questions, and hands-on practice in a calm, patient, non judgemental and unhurried environment. My goal is for you to walk away feeling calm, capable, and confident - knowing how to care for and style your hair in a way that feels achievable at home.
